The Life of Barbie

Barbie Poster by Barbie

Barbie, who was created by Ruth Handler, made her debut in 1959. Barbie is the daughter of George and Margaret Roberts. Barbie's hometown is Willows, Wisconsin. Depending on which novel you read, she attended Willow's High School in Willows, Wisconson and Manhattan International High School in New York City, New York. Barbie's relationship with Ken started in 1961. Technically, that means Barbie was only 2 years old! Barbie's occupations range from flight attendant to Nascar driver. She also has a pilot's license and was an astronaut. Barbie can be seen driving several vehicles, including a pink convertible corvette and a jeep.

You did an amazing job on Barbie's story. I had thought of tackling it but you did it perfectly. Fantastic Barbie pictures and videos. I had actually seen both of those. Love how the girl transforms herself into Barbie simply using make-up.

Just stopped by again now that I am a Zubasador. Fantastic work on this Barbie article.

Beautifully done. I just missed out on the Barbie craze, as I was just entering my teens when she appeared, and was feeling a little too 'grown up' for dolls. This was a nice glimpse of why girls just a little younger were so crazy about Barbie.

Great Leaf. I love barbie and remember most of her sidekicks. My daughter collected the Kelly Dolls. And when my son would get mad at her, he would remove a limb and hide it. It usually brought tears to my daughters eyes, but looking back at it now, it is kinda funny. Barbie Rocks!
