Zujava is holding a contest now open to all writers! The grand prize winner will receive a free Apple TV (no strings attached, we'll ship it to you!), a cool little gizmo that allows you to play Netflix, YouTube, and Vimeo videos right on your TV. With the Apple TV, you'll have access to a huge on demand library of TV shows and HD movies to watch. You can also stream from your iPhone or iCloud. This makes TV watching so much more interesting, so you'll never run out of things to watch.
So what do you have to do to win an Apple TV? Publish your best leaf ever. From February 4, 2012- March 4, 2012, we'll be going over the very best leaves published, and the very best, according to the Zujava team, will win an Apple TV.
Grand Prize: An Apple TV, shipped to the home address of the winner, along with a blog post on Zujava about the winning leaf!
1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners: Each will each receive a blog post entry on Zujava about their leaf, and why it's amazing!
Additional entries will be promoted on the Zujava Facebook page.
The criteria for the contest:
- Leaves must be published for the first time ever between February 4, 2012-March 4, 2012.
- All entries must include an introduction photo, and at least 8 images (properly credited).
- Introduction must be 30 words or more.
- All entries must have at least 8 sections (please include tags as well).
- Submissions must be entered via the official submission page by March 4, 2012 at 11:59 EST.
- Open to residents of the USA, Canada, UK, France, and Australia.
- You can submit to the contest as many times as you'd like - but keep in mind, the highest quality leaf wins!
So what makes a leaf high quality anyway? What are you looking for? (These rules happen to apply to any great leaf!)
- An intro photo, and lots of additional photos (you might get bonus points for using your OWN photos that you've taken)
- Content that's unique to that leaf. No duplicate content.
- Useful content. How can you help other people with your expertise or knowledge?
- Link to other helpful resources or leaves, when or if appropriate.
- Feature a variety of different sections - text, video, images, you name it (not necessary to win, but a good idea)
- An interesting topic that makes people want to read.
- A great title that fits the leaf.
- The more times you enter - the better your chances of winning an Apple TV!
The winner will be drawn on March 9, 2012, and announced on our blog. The leaf determined to be the best entered in the contest by the Zujava team will be awarded the Grand Prize. The runner-up entries will also be decided by the Zujava team based on leaf quality. We will contact the winner through the email address provided on upon account signup to Zujava. Winner must provide a physical home address (no P.O. boxes) to ship the prize. If the winner does not respond to the email within 7 days, the prize will be forfeited to the 1st place winner. If the 1st prize winner does not respond within 7 days, they will forfeit the prize to the 2nd place winner. An author can only win one prize. This includes if the author has multiple accounts on Zujava.
