With the fireworks, bonfires, cookouts, and parties that everyone is headed to on July 4th, it's easy to forget that this day isn't just a holiday, but the day that America celebrates its independence. We've come a long way since the 13 colonies, resisting taxation, and being the underdog that no one thought would triumph over the seemingly insurmountable British forces. There were more wars fought, more lives lost, and more freedoms gained. In the end, the story of America's independence is a heroic, inspiring tale that has influenced not just America, but people worldwide. America's independence was fought over something passionate that the original Colonists believed in fiercely: to protect their freedoms that had been compromised by taxation without representation.
To celebrate that passion that the early founders had, we'd like to dedicate this post to them, and share with you some of the best leaves on Zujava that showcase some of the finer points of what makes America "America."
