The beauty of french toast is it only takes five key ingredients: bread, butter, milk, eggs, cinnamon. Got those? What's stopping you from having an insanely good breakfast then? Let's get started:
Here's what you'll need...
- One loaf fresh challah bread (or stale)
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- Splash of milk (whole milk works best)
- Cinnamon (sprinkle to your liking)
- 2 large eggs (or 3 small ones)
- Maple syrup

This is a super easy dish to make. Here's how you'll make it:
- Beat the eggs in a large bowl with the milk.
- Cut up the challah bread into slices.
- Preheat a griddle over medium heat, and add the butter to the griddle.
- Dip each piece of challah bread in the egg and milk mixture.
- Place the pieces on the griddle, then top with cinnamon (as much as desired).
- Flip the french toast when the bottom starts to become firm. Cook over low to medium heat to avoid burning.
- Cook both sides and serve with maple syrup, butter, or powdered sugar. Enjoy!
