Cupcake crafts

You will need:

Red felt

Red yarn

White yarn or cream colored yarn

Scissors

Glue

toothpick

measuring tape of ruler

For the bottom of the cupcake, cut off three pieces of red yarn , 1 inch long.  Glue one piece for the bottom of the cupcake and two on each side.  

For the details of the cupcake, cut off three pieces of red yarn, ¾ of an inch and glue in the center of the cupcake bottom.  

For the cupcake frosting, cut off a piece of white or off white yarn 40 inches long.  Fold the yarn in half and twist into a round spiral. The center spiral will be the top of the cupcake frosting. You will now have two strands of yarn on each side.  With the end of the strand roll the yarn into the center spiral.  Repeat on the other side.  Cut the yarn on the top and left spiral to seperate the strand and glue to the felt.

Once the cupcake is dry, cut around the cupcake.  Use your little cuppy as a decoration, appliqué, magnet or ornament.  You could even use this cupcake to make a plushie, use a larger piece of felt so you can fold it in half, cut around, fill with stuffing and sewing the sides together.
