Foam Gliders Are Great, Inexpensive Toys
When I was young my mother always bought me foam gliders to play with in the garden of where we were staying. I started with airplanes, progressed to birds and even had a flying nose! Unfortunately, I never had any of these insect gliders but they look really cool.
Here are some insect gliders to buy.

Assemble Your Insect Glider
Assembling insect gliders is quite simple and children of most ages will be able to follow the instructions provided on the packet themselves.
Should you be required to help this brief summary will assist you;
- Carefully remove the parts from the packet. There should be a body, a wing, a tail and a plastic nose weight.
- Punch the slot in the insect's body out to create an opening for the wing. Slide the wing into the slot. Sometimes the slot may have to be opened up a little with scissors or a knife.
- Place the tail piece into the slot at the back of the insect's body.
- Slide the plastic nose weight over the insect's nose.
- Throw the insect glider as you would a paper airplane and watch it glide.
