Eleven years ago today, America changed forever. We lost 2,977 people that day. Watching from the safety of a far away television, it was frightening, shocking, and angering. Imagine if you were actually there to witness it in person? Millions of people did, like Rochelle, who recounts her day on the Magna Cum Laude award winning leaf, 9/11: I Was There.
On this leaf, Rochelle shares her experience with the the World Trade Center area, working in New York City, and dealing with the chaos that came after the planes hit. As Rochelle stated on hear leaf, "I was there before, I was there during, and I was there after."
The leaf is the ultimate tribute to those that lost their lives on 9/11. We must not ever forget what happened that day. Reading the leaf, you may remember where you were when you heard the news, what you did that day, and how you were feeling. The stories are sad, but they are real.
The leaf ends on a high note, with hope in the form of the new Freedom Tower that will dominate the New York City skyline when completed.
Be sure to stop by Rochelle's leaf, and tell your own personal story about 9/11.
