One Direction - Bigger than Bieber?

Niall Horan (9-13-1993) - Niall is from Edgeworthstown in Ireland and attended Coláiste Mhuire, a Christian Boys school.  Niall's parents divorced when he was five years old.  He and his older brother moved between his parents two homes until finally deciding to live with their father in Mullingar.  Niall auditioned for The X Factor with the song, So Sick by Ne-Yo.

Zayn Malik (1-12-1993) - Zayn, from West Lane, Bradford, England, went to Tong High School in East Bowling.  Zayn grew up with his Pakistani father and English mother and his 3 sisters.  For his audition, Zayn performed Let Me Love You by R&B singer Mario.  Zayn has seven tattoos including a Ying & Yang symbol and his grandfather's name, Walter, in arabic.

Liam Payne (8-29-1993) - Liam is from Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England and attended City of Wolverhampton College.  He grew up with his parents and two older sisters.  Liam first auditioned for The X Factor in 2008 when he was only 14 years old.  While the judges thought he was talented, they thought he was not ready at the time and urged him to come back.  For the seventh season, Payne auditioned to the song Cry me a River by Ella Fitzgerald.

Harry Styles (2-1-1994) - Harry is Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England.  Harry attended Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School.  Harry's parents divorced when he was seven years old and he lived with his mother and his older sister.  Prior to his audition, Styles was in a band called White Eskimo.  Styles auditioned for The X Factor with the song, Isn't She Lovely, by Stevie Wonder.  He lives with band mate Louis Tomlinson in North London.

Louis Tomlinson (12-24-1991) - Louis, from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England, is the oldest member of One Direction.  His parent split when he was very young and his mother, Johannah, remarried Mark Tomlinson and Louis assumed his name.  Louis has four younger stepsisters.  Louis currently lives with band mate Harry Styles in North London.  Tomlinson auditioned for The X Factor with the song Hey There Delilah by the Plain White Tees.
