Trayvon Martin, Oscar Grant, and Walking While Black

Trayvon Martin was shot on Feb. 26 by George Zimmerman, a self-appointed neighborhood watch captain, while he was visiting his father in Sanford, Florida. Martin left his father’s home to buy Skittles and iced tea when he was spotted and pursued by Zimmerman. A scuffle ensued and resulted in the death of seventeen-year-old Trayvon.
Disney's Pop Century Resort

Pop Century Resort is one of Walt Disney World's "Value" hotels. It's theme is 20th century pop culture from the 1950s, '60s, '70s, '80s and '90s. Pop Century opened to visitors on December 14, 2003 and has been my favorite value resort at Disney since I first stayed there in 2006.* My family went back for our sixth time this year.
