The Shining: A Classic Horror Movie
In this movie Jack Nicholson personifies crazy! He plays the role of Jack Torrance, who has been hired as the winter caretaker at the Overlook Hotel. He and his family will be secluded for the winter while employed as the caretaker. Through the winter, Jack's behavior starts to get stranger and stranger until it becomes clear to his wife Wendy that her and their son Danny are no longer safe in the hotel with Jack.

The Shining is a classic horror film from 1980. It's based on the novel called The Shining from American author Stephen King. It was King's third published novel.
The film was produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick. Staring Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrance, Shelley Duvall as his wife Wendy, Danny Lloyd as their son Danny, and Scatman Crothers as chef Dick Hallorann.
The initial response to the film was mixed. Later reviews became more favorable and now the movie is considered a classic horror film.
Domestically, the movie has grossed over $44 million dollars to date.
