Every July it is common to hear radio commercials or catch ads on TV promoting Christmas in July sales. The concept may seem a bit strange since Christmas falls in the winter for those of us living in the United States. However, there are a few reasons behind why Christmas in July has come to be.In America, Christmas in July is more of a marketing tool than a holiday. Since there are no major holidays between Independence Day and Labor Day, during the month of July, it is common for retailers and other merchants to offer promotions to boost sales during slow times.
