A Live Butterfly Garden
by thelesleyshow
A Live Butterfly Garden
A live butterfly garden is such a neat thing to do with kids.  My kids and I ordered this live butterfly garden kit as part of a science lesson we were doing. We love doing science projects and experiments at home and when I saw a live butterfly garden online, I had to get it for our family. It's a very simple science kit, everything you need comes with it.  When the caterpillars arrive they are already supplied the food they need in the jar they come in.
Keeping the Cost of College Education in Check
by ologsinquito
Are you worried about the ever-rising cost of college? Many parents, myself included, haven't saved enough to send their children to a prestigious private school, where room board and tuition can easily top $55,000 a year.A public university will set you back as well. In-state students at a flagship university may have to spend more than $100,000 to obtain a Bachelor Degree. The price increases if students don't graduate in four years, as only 37 percent of incoming freshman manage to do. Spending five or six years on campus is almost becoming the norm.

Teach the Aleph Bet-Hebrew School Classroom Strategies That Work
by mommymommymommy
This is the aleph bet in magnetic letters
If you ask many adults about their memories of Hebrew School, almost all will tell you that it was boring.  People do not remember their primary years (ages 5-8), just the time when they were older and mastering Hebrew vocabulary and  prayers was the focus.  The textbooks we used were boring, and the last thing we wanted to do after a long day at school was sit for another two hours and learn some more from a book.
Teaching Adolescents Self-Respect Using Box-Office Movies
by Sheri Oz
Using movies to teach values to teenagers
Box-office movies can present marvelous opportunities to teach adolescents life skills in a way that keeps them interested and at the same time develops their critical thinking capabilities. I am going to show you a lesson plan that I developed for use with teenagers aged 13 to 18. This program has been used in classrooms and in extracurricular settings, such as the scouts. Pupils and teachers enjoyed it.
Kindle Fire for Kids

My kids playing my Kindle Fire
Are you thinking about getting a Kindle Fire for your kids?  That was my last thought when I bought mine.  I bought ours so I could read books on it.  But I quickly found that my children loved my Kindle.  And I loved letting them use it!One of the best features I like is the Kindle Freetime app.  This comes installed. You can set it up to let each child have access to books and games that you choose.  And you can set it up to limit the amount of time that they can play for.
Software To Learn Chinese
by gifts
Chinese Language Software
As China becomes more open to the outside world, learning the Chinese language is a very good activity to begin. If you are planning a trip to China as a tourist or on a business venture it would be most helpful for you to know at least some basic phrases to get you by. Because the Chinese people are so eager to learn to speak English there are opportunities galore for people to go there to teach English as a second language (ESL). You would, of course, need to know Chinese in order to both live there and to teach your students.

Fairy tales can be interpreted in many ways. I'll use well known fairy tale about Little Red Riding Hood to show how much power is hidden in seemingly simple story about the girl who goes in the wood.I'll use only one of hundreds known versions: the classic one, written by brothers Grimm, and only one of dozens possible interpretations, the one which is most popular among mythologists.

When most students are deciding what they are going to chose to major in in college, several different factors come to their mind. The difficulty of the majorJob possibilitiesWill they enjoy their possible jobs? How easy it will be to find a job in that categoryHow much does the average person in this field make?Of course these are not all of the questions. The Biggest Asteroid Craters on Earth

There are asteroid craters on the surface of our planet that were left by falling asteroids in ancient times as well as not so long ago. During a long geological period, many of them have lost their initial structure and looks. This has been due to the impact of air and water but also tectonic activity of Earth and other influences that change the appearance of the planet. Till present very few of asteroid craters have preserved the impressive, gigantic ring or circus-like appearance. Some of them have been filled with water and turned into lakes.

The Museum of Science is one of Boston's oldest and most respected museums. With dozens of permanent exhibits and specialty temporary exhibits changing all the time, the MOS is incredibly fun for kids as well as adults. Take in a film at the IMAX theater, watch one of the space documentaries at the Charles Hayden Planetarium, or sit down and relax in the garden oasis of the Butterfly Garden. If you've been to the Museum of Science before, you'll be glad to know that many of the same small exhibits are still there, while the educational aspect has been updated and overhauled in many areas.

If you are asked to translate a shape then you need to move the shape to a new position. The directions that you have to move the shape in will be given as a vector.A vector contains two numbers:The top number of the vector tells you to move the shape left or right. If the number is negative then you move the shape left and the number is positive then you move the shape right. The bottom number of the vector tells you to move the shape down or up. If the number is negative then you move the shape down and if the number is positive you move the shape up.
King Richard III of England
by history
Coat of Arms of Richard III of England
Was King Richard III a despicable tyrant who plotted and killed his way to the throne or was he an heroic figure? We will never know for sure, but he was definitely not the monster that William Shakespeare's play made him out to be. His reign did help to improve the lives of his subjects; he actually contributed a lot to the civil law of England that many countries follow today including the concept of being innocent until proven guilty and helping to develop the jury system.
