Ryne Sandberg was a Major League Baseball player who played second base for the Chicago Cubs for the majority of his career. Sandberg's career began in 1981 and ended in 1997. The current Alamo Bowl has been played since 1993 in San Antonio, Texas. It is played at the Alamodome, with a seating capacity of 65,000 people. Every year it matches the second ranked team from the PAC 12 Conference and the third team from the Big 12 Conference. The Alamo Bowl is traditionally played in December, with the only change to date being the 2009 game that was played in early January. Having Alamo Bowl tickets makes December a lot more fun.
