The Best Method For Drawing And Working Out Angles In A Piechart

The best way to calculate all the angles in a pie-chart is to use the formula:
Angle for 1 person = 360⁰ ÷ total number of amount of people surveyed
Once you have this number you multiply each one of the amounts by this number. Once the angles have been calculated you can check that they all add up to 360⁰.
So to summarise, add up all people who took part in the survey, divide this answer into 360 and multiply all the amounts in the survey by this number.
Let’s take a look at some examples of working out the angles in a Pie-chart.

The easiest way to find the perimeter of a rectangle is to add up all of the four sides:
Perimeter = length + length + width + width
This is because perimeter is the distance all the way around a 2D shape.
Finding the area of a rectangle can be done by multiplying the two side lengths together:
Area = length x width
If you follow these simple formulas then you shouldn't have a problem. Let's take a look at some examples of working out the area and perimeter of a rectangle.
11 months agoAn easy method for finding the product of 2 fractions or dividing fractions.

To work out the product of two fractions all you need to do is multiply the numerators and denominators of both fractions. All you need to do then is simplify the fraction to its lowest terms.
Dividing fractions is a little less straightforward. To divide fractions you need to turn over the second fraction and then multiply the fractions together. Again, simplify the fraction to its lowest terms.

Here you will shown a quick method to work out the area and perimeter of a semicircle. All you need to remember is that a semicircle is half of a full circle, so the area can worked out by halving the area formula for a circle. Similarly, for the perimeter of a semicircle, half the formula for the circumference of a circle but remember to add the diameter of the cirlce back on. You should already know the formulas for the area and circumference of a circle. The area is Pi multiplied by radius squared and the circumference is Pi multiplied by diameter.

If you are asked to translate a shape then you need to move the shape to a new position.
The directions that you have to move the shape in will be given as a vector.
A vector contains two numbers:
The top number of the vector tells you to move the shape left or right. If the number is negative then you move the shape left and the number is positive then you move the shape right.
The bottom number of the vector tells you to move the shape down or up. If the number is negative then you move the shape down and if the number is positive you move the shape up.
