These aren't your 80's and 90's ponies! The newest generation of My Little Ponies is the Friendship is Magic series. They might just be the most popular ones yet. We love their cute anime style with large eyes and little muzzles.

Snow White and the Huntsman Costumes

Children, tweens, teens, and adults will be dressing up as a character from the movie Snow White and the Huntsman this Halloween.

Below you'll find costumes & accessories to recreate the looks of Kristen Stewart as Snow White, Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman, and Charlize Theron as Queen Ravenaa.

Don't settle for 'close enough' costumes. These official costumes will be in stores this summer in plenty of time for Halloween costume parties and trick-or-treating. As new items are released I'll add them as well.

Monster High Scary Tales Costume Dolls

I can hardly keep up with all of the new dolls from Monster High. While I was doing my normal internet searching I came across a pic I hadn't seen yet and had to find out if they were custom dolls or the real thing. They are real and are a Target exclusive. I'm sure they will make there way to other locations.

Monster High Ghouls Rule Costume Dolls

This set of Monster High dolls is new for 2012 and were made to go along with the new DVD titled Ghouls Rule!

The background for the movie is that the girls are going to celebrate Halloween this year instead of staying in like they usually do. They've decided they want to dress in over-the-top costumes highlighting their famous monster heritage. These dolls are wearing those costumes.

Monster High Dance Class Dolls

Dance Class is a line of four dolls released in 2012. It includes Robecca Steam, Operetta, Lagoona Blue, and Howleen Wolf. Each one represents a style of dance. There are plenty of dance styles left for future dolls.

I wonder if this will be tied to a TV special or DVD, or if it will just be the theme of a Monster High episode. I'll keep an eye out for that info.

My Little Pony Face Hoodies

Whether you call yourself a Brony or a Pegasister, female My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fans will love these adorable character hoodies.

So far there are 3 ponies to choose from; Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie. According to my completely unscientific Which is Your Favorite Pony poll, these are the top three so hopefully your fave is among them.

Thomas Kinkade Disney Dreams Collection

Thomas Kinkade passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012 at the age of 54. He was know for his paintings of idyllic landscapes, cottages, and churches. He also happened to be a Disney licensed artist who painted glowing scenes of Disney parks and classic characters.

Hunger Games Fashion

Months before the first Hunger Games movie was out there was already buzz about the Capitol's fashion. A running theme of the capitol is to "look your best". There's even an official Capitol Couture fashion blog. I can't wait to see what Hunger Games costumes and merchandise are released over the next few years.

Unicorn Costumes

My daughter was a Unicorn in 2003 when she was 2 years old. That was my choice. She was also a Unicorn in 2004 and 2005. That was her choice. I had to beg her to be something different in 2006. LOL

Her costumes aren't on sale anymore, but there are some really cute new Unicorn costumes out now. I'll showcase some of the best below for babies, toddlers, kids, and adults.

Disney's Pop Century Resort

Pop Century Resort is one of Walt Disney World's "Value" hotels. It's theme is 20th century pop culture from the 1950s, '60s, '70s, '80s and '90s. Pop Century opened to visitors on December 14, 2003 and has been my favorite value resort at Disney since I first stayed there in 2006.* My family went back for our sixth time this year.

Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time premiered on ABC October 23, 2011. The setting is a fictional small town in Maine called Storybrooke. Everyone who lives there has been frozen in time, taken out of their fairy tales by a curse from the Evil Queen (yes, that Evil Queen) with no memory of their past lives. I know, sounds weird right?

Monster High Scaris City of Frights

Monster High: Scaris: City of Frights is an upcoming TV special. With it comes a new doll line and playset assortment.

The ghouls of Monster High are taking their first trip abroad together in monster style. Their destination is the infamous hometown of Rochelle Goyle, and they plan to see it all. As we go along with Clawdeen Wolf and her friends to "Scaris", France for a fashion competition we get to meet some new characters including Jinafire Long and Skelita Calaveras.

Bunheads

Bunheads premiered on ABC Family June 11, 2012. The setting is a fictional small coastal town in California called Paradise. Amy Sherman-Palladino, creator of Gilmore Girls, is the writer, director, and executive producer of the show.

FYI: A "bunhead" is a ballet dancer. But don't let the name of the show scare you away if you aren't interested in dance. So far there's been very little focus on dance, and more about the people and the town. Give it a try!

Oz The Great and Powerful

Oz The Great and Powerful comes out March 8 2013, but I got to see it on February 24th at a special screening for Disney Vacation Club members at Epcot. It was perfect timing since I was already going to be at Walt Disney World, so I signed up when I heard about the opportunity.

Star Wars Bath Robes

These are officially licensed Star Wars Bathrobes. Though some of the descriptions say 'for Men' really, any fan of Star Wars, from teens to adults, male or female, will love one of these hooded bath robes. I've found a few in kids sizes too!

Dance and TV have been together forever. When I was little it was Dance Fever and Solid Gold, decades later I was watching The Wade Robson Project. But now more than ever dance shows are a major part of prime time television. Every style is represented from Ballet to Hip-Hop, Contempory to Ballroom. We have competition shows, reality shows, documentaries, and even sitcoms with a dance focus. It doesn't matter how old you are, if you have an interest in dance there is a show for you.

I was looking for a free e-card yesterday (2/14/12) and while scanning through site after site I saw many cheesy, poorly made digital greetings. I'm sure you've seen them too. I was getting discouraged. There had to be something better!

Oz The Great and Powerful Costumes

Whether you're a Good Witch, a Bad Witch, or not a Witch at all, you can dress up as a character from the movie Oz The Great and Powerful.

Purple Flower Bouquets

RED: Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift's new album RED was released on October 22, 2012. This is her fourth studio album.

The first single, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, hit the airwaves on August 13th. The second single, Begin Again came out on September 24th. We  got a sneak peak of upcoming singles as Good Morning America shared 30-second previews of a new track each Monday leading up to the album release. These singles became available on iTunes the night of their debut.

Cards Against Humanity

I keep seeing this online, so much so that I had to look it up. Cards Against Humanity is a new party game that is getting quite the buzz. Facebook, Twitter, the Amazon Best Selling Products list, people are talking about it everywhere.

This is a card game for adults with a good sense of humor. Those easily offended need not play. This game is not for kids! It's best played with 5 to 10 players, but works for any number between 4 and 20.

National Princess Week

The first annual National Princess Week took place April 22-28, 2012.

Children across the country were invited to celebrate the sparkle and wonder of every princess real, aspiring, or imagined, to use their imaginations and dream big. It's a time for children to celebrate their individuality, and let their inner beauty shine.

Some Nights: Fun.

I know it's not all that new, but the title track is my favorite song right now.

Some Nights is the second studio album of the band Fun. and their first with the label Fueled by Ramen. It was released February 21, 2012. The record, produced by Jeff Bhasker, is a mix of indie pop, rock, and hip-hop.

LEGO Friends of Heartlake City

LEGO Friends of Heartlake City webisodes started airing online at video.disney.com and during commercial breaks on the Disney Channel in November 2012.

The show is based on the LEGO Friends line that launched in January 2012 specifically marketed to girls. Each animated short is around 2 to 3 minutes long. The main characters are Olivia, Mia, Emma, Andrea, and Stephanie. Their first story line spans 10 episodes. You'll find each below.

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Plush

Build-A-Bear Workshop, in collaboration with Hasbro, launched a new line of My Little Pony plush toys April 1, 2013. Right now they offer two ponies, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, in various outfits and accessories. I'm sure there will be more to follow.

Build-A-Bear are not the first to make My Little Pony Friendship is Magic stuffed animals, but so far they are my favorites.

When you buy them online you can get just the basic plush or choose one all decked out in an adorable outfit and ready to go.

My Little Pony Perler Bead Patterns

Free My Little Pony Friendship is Magic patterns for fusible 5mm plastic beads. Fuse bead brands include Perler, Hama, Nabbi, and Pyssla, though I'm just going to be using Perler brand colors in descriptions below.

My daughter started using Perler beads in her Montessori days, about 7 years ago. She basically stuck to the patterns that came with various bead kits, or just filled in every spot of shaped peg boards to her liking. The older you get the more elaborate pieces you can create. They aren't just for little kids!

Monster High 13 Wishes

Monster High 13 Wishes will be the third CG animated, feature-length, Monster High film to come out on DVD. It will also be a TV special airing sometime in 2013.

The Blessed Unrest: Sara Bareilles

Sara Bareilles is my favorite contemporary singer-songwriter writer.

You know the song "Hook" by Blues Traveler? With the line "It doesn't matter what I say so long as I sing with inflection"  Sara is the antithesis of that lyric. Of the whole song really. Every word that she writes, every word that she sings tells a story. It paints a picture. It makes you think. Her beautiful words are matched by her beautiful voice.

Meerkat Calendars

My daughter is crazy about meerkats. I'm not even sure where the obsession came from, but now she's got me loving them too. She also taught me how to spell meerkat. I thought it was meercat. Who knew?
